While the books we publish are available to download from our website for free, it is also possible to purchase copies in print. Each volume has a ‘Buy Book’ option. This adds a copy to a basket within PayPal. Once you have selected all the volumes you want to buy you can then pay with a PayPal account or checkout with a credit or debit card. The books will then be printed when we receive your order, and posted out to you.
All our publications are free to access online. If you order a printed copy of one of our books the total price reflects the cost of the production process, the internal admin needed to process orders, and postage. When you order you will see the costs broken down into these three components. 'Item total' represents the production process; 'P&P' represents postage; and 'Handling' represents all the work needed by us and our suppliers to process the payment, deal with any queries and manually transmit the details of the order to the printers.
As we are a small not-for-profit publisher we work to ensure the price is as low as possible while still meeting our costs. We are unable to subsidise any costs because White Rose University Press (WRUP) does not make a profit from this, or any element of the publishing process.
If you are thinking about ordering multiple copies/titles then we suggest you submit these as a single order as you will only pay a single 'Handling' charge.
Print volumes ordered to destinations in the EU are printed in, and dispatched from, the UK. This means that orders of print volumes to the EU may be subject to additional local taxes charged at the point of delivery. This is due to Brexit and is unfortunately beyond our control. Different countries apply different amounts of tax, and the tax added also depends on the value of your shipment, so it is not possible to indicate these in advance. If you are based in the EU and concerned about additional taxes being charged at the point of delivery, we do recommend you use the free digital versions of our books, as this is the primary publication format anyway.
Once you have paid for your order via the PayPal site, our technical supplier (Ubiquity Press) will process this and send it through to the printers (Ingram Lightning Source). While no payment details will be shared by PayPal with either WRUP or its suppliers, these organisations will have access to some essential personal data e.g. postal address, etc.
We expect customers to receive orders within 10 working days of receipt of payment. If you haven’t received your order to this timescale please contact info@ubiquitypress.com.
If the volume you receive is faulty in some way please contact info@ubiquitypress.com to arrange for a replacement to be provided. Please note that because volumes are printed especially for you it is not possible to cancel an order once payment has been made. If for any reason you wish to return an item please contact White Rose University Press at universitypress@whiterose.ac.uk and we can arrange it with you. You will need to pay return postage.
